Defenders 017: Enchantress

Good pick, omg_its_a_sushi.  I took a bit of a break, but I hope to get back on track this week.  Still accepting suggestions in the r/Dota2 thread for hero suggestions for tomorrow.

Everyone’s favourite fey creature, Aiushtahsdahfjghaf.  Loved Impetus, but I’m sorely disappointed that it’s her ult now.  I suppose it was necessary, because it could just end up being way too much damage in the early game.  But, man was it ever satisfying to land the perfect Impetus hit.  Attack, animation cancel, run away… only to find that your target has also run away.  Hit for +10000000 damage.  Prosper.

I don’t know if you guys consider Impetus a skill-shot, but let’s talk about them anyway.  What’s your favourite skillshot in the game?  Do you think that without the limitations of the WC3 engine that we’ll  eventually see some new targeting mechanics in Dota 2?Fall like leaves in fallpaper. 1920×1080.

Meathooks. Especially early game, before you got devour. That was the best thing about pudge, you could never stop paying attention, because you were always doing the meathook dance.

    Wow. She looks elegant.

Skill Shot? How about Wisp’s Spirits. I like it when every single one hits a hero moreso if they’re invis.

About impetus, long ago, when Encha was still new (and before wtf mode) me and a friend started up a 1v1 game to test how high we could get the Impetus dmg to proc for.

He picked Centaur, I picked Encha, and we started off with health pots for him, mana regen for me, and a blink dagger on both of us. Ran to river and proceeded to arrow-shot and run&blink away.

We didn’t manage anything fancy though, unfortunately. We weren’t aware of attack animation canceling, or shift-queuing (not sure if that wouldve changed anything, as I was issuing a run away command instantly) and the best we managed was 260~ bonus dmg.

Needless to say, it was a fun-in-concept to use blink dagger as a last-hit booster, but just chasing and whacking again was deemed obv the better strategy. Oh, to be a theory-crafting noob again. (These days, I’m just noob.)

Incredible design! I adore the colour choice as well. Very well done on creating this beautiful art design. :)
